I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your code telegram of the 21st December which decoded was as

follows:-

"Firm of Ernest Borel & Co. incorporated in Switzer- "land and comprising only Swiss capital claim as "their own property 80,000 francs worth of watches and accessories forwarded on consignment to the "China Export Import and Bank Co. stock list dated "31st July and other papers submitted to me. Tirm ask *that these goods may be treated as their property "and the proceeds of realization remitted to them *direct. Firm are being told to apply to you direct"

Messrs. Bradley & Co., the liquidators of the China Export Import and Bank Co.,were communicated with and I enclose a copy of their letter.
